Corporate Heritage

Shandong Saier Chemical Technology

Established in December 2004, Shandong Saier Chemical Technology Development Co., Ltd. has grown from a regional producer of basic chemical materials into an international supplier of high-purity fine chemicals and aromatic solvents. Located in the Qilu Chemical Industrial Park, Zibo City, Shandong Province, our facility operates within a primary chemical production zone, giving us access to raw materials and downstream processing infrastructure.

Our early product lineup focused on high-boiling aromatic solvents, including S-100, S-150, S-150ND, S-180, and S-200, alongside intermediate products like durene, PVC plasticizers, thiophene, 1,3-Cyclohexanedione, and other key specialty components. Over the years, we have transitioned our focus toward high-value intermediates, thermal management fluids (such as heat transfer oil L-QC320), and custom fine chemical synthesis.

Supported by feedstock agreements with petrochemical complexes including Sinopec and ChemChina, we maintain raw material supply stability. Our facility currently supports an annual capacity of 720,000 tons, serving domestic markets and exporting to Asia, Europe, South America, and North American tech corridors like Seattle.

Macro Industry Solutions & Technology Roadmap

Industrial chemistry applications supporting next-generation advanced materials and energy storage

Polymer & Monomer Chemistry

Pyromellitic Dianhydride (PMAD) and Pyromellitic Acid (PMA) serve as precursors for polyimide films used in electronics substrates and aerospace wiring. Our synthesis routes minimize metallic impurities, meeting the low-dielectric constant requirements of modern microelectronics.

Aromatic Hydrocarbon Refining

Our S-150, S-150ND (naphthalene depleted), and S-200 solvents are refined using continuous multi-stage fractional distillation. This process controls boiling ranges and flash points, delivering consistent performance for agricultural formulations and industrial coatings.

Heat Management & Synthetics

Our synthetic heat transfer oil L-QC320 provides high thermal stability and resistance to oxidation. It is designed for closed-loop thermal systems operating up to 320°C, helping reduce maintenance intervals in chemical processing plants.

Technological Roadmap

As industrial requirements lean toward lower environmental footprints and higher purity levels, we are investing in research and development to align with these trends:

  • Continuous Flow Synthesis: Transitioning key pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediate reactions to continuous-flow systems to increase yields and reduce energy consumption.
  • Selective Catalytic Oxidation: Optimizing the catalytic oxidation phase from Durene to PMAD to minimize byproducts and eliminate chlorinated waste streams.
  • Low-Emissions Aromatic Distillation: Upgrading our fractionation towers to produce ND (Naphthalene Depleted) solvents with less than 0.1% naphthalene content, supporting compliance with strict occupational safety regulations.

Regulatory Compliance & Pacific Northwest Supply Chain Security

Meeting regulatory standards to ensure secure import, delivery, and handling at the Port of Seattle

TSCA & EPA Regulatory Alignment

All fine chemical exports destined for the United States, specifically Seattle, are certified under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). We work with import brokers to manage pre-manufacture notices (PMN) and import certifications.

GHS-Compliant Documentation

We supply safety documentation structured to meet OSHA HazCom and Globally Harmonized System (GHS) standards, providing Seattle-based environmental health and safety (EHS) teams with the information required for safe handling and storage.

Port of Seattle Logistics Coordination

Our logistics department works with major global carriers to manage freight routes to the Port of Seattle. We handle custom packaging—including ISO tanks, steel drums, and IBC totes—designed to maintain container integrity during ocean transport.

Technical FAQ & Procurement Specifications

Answers to common questions regarding logistics, quality assurance, and technical support for Seattle and global customers

What is the typical purity level for Durene and PMAD supplied to Seattle-based manufacturers? +
Our standard electronic and polymer-grade Durene (1,2,4,5-Tetramethylbenzene) is supplied at a purity of ≥98.5% up to 99.0%+, depending on the synthesis target. For Pyromellitic Dianhydride (PMAD), we maintain a purity of ≥99.5% with strict control over acid impurities. Every shipment is accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) verified by Gas Chromatography (GC) and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) in our Quality Control lab.
How does Shandong Saier Chemical handle shipping to the Pacific Northwest region? +
We coordinate shipments from Qingdao Port directly to the Port of Seattle or Port of Tacoma. We offer shipping options including FOB, CIF, and DDP to accommodate customer procurement structures. For urgent liquid materials, air freight options to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) can be arranged using UN-approved safety packaging.
What are the differences between Aromatic Solvent S150, S150ND, and S200? +
Aromatic Solvent S150 has an initial boiling point around 180°C and is composed primarily of C9-C10 alkylbenzenes. S150ND is the "naphthalene-depleted" version, where fractional distillation reduces the naphthalene content to <0.1% or <1% to meet environmental and safety regulations. Aromatic Solvent S200 is a heavier solvent consisting mainly of C11-C14 alkylnaphthalenes, with a boiling range of 220°C to 290°C and a higher flashpoint for applications requiring lower volatility.
Are your chemical manufacturing processes ISO-certified? +
Yes, our facility operates in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems. In addition to internal testing, we work with third-party verification agencies, including SGS and Intertek, to perform independent pre-shipment inspections when requested by our clients.
Can you accommodate custom blending or synthesis requests? +
Yes. Supported by our R&D center in the Qilu Chemical Industrial Park, we can work with clients to develop custom fractions for aromatic solvents, specialized purities for organic intermediates (such as Thiophene derivatives, Cytosine, or Dichloroacetophenone), and custom-formulated heat transfer fluids.
